Your 300 greatest songs. Permanent. Public. Yours.
You already know who you are. Verdikt is where 300 songs prove it.
Applications reviewed within 48 hours. Founding 50 spots are limited.
What a canon looks like
Every Verdikt profile is a permanent public declaration. Here's what three different canons look like.
Hear the Full Breakdown β 20 Minutes
Two people sit down and break apart the entire idea. Every feature. Every question you'd ask. All of it.
20 minutes. Two people break down the whole idea β the 300-song limit, the burn mechanic, the lifeboat metaphor, artist profiles, and why this works.
Why This Exists
You know in half a second whether a song is yours. That instinct isn't shallow β it's earned. Verdikt is built for the people who trust that instinct.
Keep Spotify. Keep Apple Music. Keep whatever you stream on. Verdikt doesn't replace any of it. It sits on top β and gives you something none of them offer: a public profile of the music you actually stand behind.
Streaming apps want you to keep clicking, keep discovering, keep consuming. Verdikt is for people who already know what they love. The 300 songs you've lived with for years β the ones that earned their place because you decided, not because an algorithm suggested them.
That list is who you are as a listener. Verdikt makes it visible and connects you with people who take their music just as seriously.
"Your 300 songs. Your message. Your identity. Verdikt is where taste becomes visible β and visible taste builds community."
"If you're happy with your casual listening approach β we love that for you. But this is not for you."
β A Note From The Founder β
"Today, identity dissociation feels like the only option.
Verdikt is built on the opposite premise β that knowing exactly who you are, and what you love, is something worth defending."
How It Works
You don't need 300 songs on day one. Start with the 10 that define you β the ones you'd defend anywhere. Your Canon grows over time. At 300, it's complete. Import from Spotify or add manually.
Your profile is your public musical identity β sortable by genre, decade, play count. Capped at 300 songs (500 for top-tier members). Want to add a new song? One must be removed. We call that a Burn β it's timestamped, named, and visible to everyone forever. The tension is the point.
Your Canon is a declaration. Some people will want to compare. Some will want to debate. Most will just want to find the people whose taste overlaps with theirs. All of it is Verdikt.
The Record
"Preference is what you click on. Taste is what you come back to.
Verdikt is built for the second thing."
Your Canon is a public declaration of who you are as a listener. Browse other Canons. Find the people whose lists overlap with yours. Compare what you share. Discover what you've been missing.
If you ever want to step into the ring and have your taste challenged in a real debate β that door is open. But it's not the point. The point is connection through what you've genuinely earned.
"Every Canon is an argument. Every Burn is a ruling."
What's Inside
Your canon is full. You found a song that has to be on it. Something has to go. That removal is called a Burn β and it's visible, named, timestamped, and permanent. "Kid burned 'Mo Money Mo Problems' to make room for 'C.R.E.A.M.' β Canon Slot #247." Every Burn is a debate waiting to happen.
Find members whose lists overlap with yours. Not because an algorithm matched you β because your actual taste, built over years, points at the same music.
When your 300 songs are complete, Verdikt generates a shareable visual card β genre breakdown, era distribution, top artists, hidden gem index, and a taste score. Post it anywhere. Let the world see who you are as a listener.
When your list overlaps with someone else's, Verdikt generates a comparison page β shared songs, unique picks, and a compatibility score. "My Verdikt collision with @Sam is 81%. We share 93 songs." That's a conversation starter.
When you place your 300th song, your list is sealed. A visual celebration. A shareable artifact. A public timestamp. From that point forward, every addition requires a sacrifice. You're no longer building your identity β you're defending it.
The first 100 members to reach the Sealed Moment earn a permanent numbered badge β Verdikt Verified #001 through #100. It's not bought. It's earned. You also get a downloadable badge for your social profiles and a personal referral link. Once 100 slots are filled, they're gone forever.
Every song on your list can carry a one-line note β why it's there. "First dance at my wedding." "The song playing when I got the call." "Can't explain this one. It just stays." Your list isn't just songs. It's a memoir. Notes are optional, but the ones who write them never leave.
A monthly list of the most played songs weighted across all member playlists. The most honest chart in music β no label money, no algorithm. Just what Taste Makers actually listen to. Members only.
When an artist builds a profile on Verdikt, fans see the music that made them β not just the music they made. Award-winning artist Promise β who has worked with Drake, JhenΓ© Aiko, Montell Jordan, and PARTYNEXTDOOR β is exploring the platform. Imagine comparing your 300 songs to his. That overlap is a connection no other platform can offer.
Verdikt isn't launching to everyone at once. It's launching to the people who understand it first. The First Fifty don't just get access β they set the standard. Every Canon built after theirs will be measured against the bar they set. They get the best deal this platform will ever offer, locked in permanently.
"We will never run an advertisement on Verdikt. No matter what we're offered. No matter how many subscribers we reach. We are turning down potential millions to prove to you that this community is the product β not the inventory."
No six degrees of separation. No algorithm in the middle. No advertiser deciding what you see.
Just you, your taste, and the people whose taste is just as uncompromising.
Music, returned to its core purpose β connection.
Your taste has already been decided. Time to put it on the record.
Music culture. Taste debates. Industry intel. No algorithm.
